Starting Line (metaphorically)

Ready, set, go! The race is on! Looks like it’s an uphill battle from the start. There’s a huge learning curve to this Mozilla stuff, especially if you haven’t really explored all three major platforms. I’ve been doing alot of trying to understand the behavior of Firefox on each one, seeing where the profiles end up especially. It’s a triathlon!

A short trip to the Mac world did not go as smoothly as it has for Windows and Linux! The Firefox installer for windows is just weird, or it’s just me who doesn’t get it. It popped up a window with The Firefox icon and 2 other faded out images following it. Was I looking at the right thing? Somehow it loaded up Firefox and ran the default profile. The command line also seemed to be blocked or hidden at the library Macs, so I didn’t get far. Okay, so maybe I won’t touch Mac just yet.. one little step at a time.

Still going strong here, but suddenly I realize the huge number of other people who were ahead had now stopped to catch their breath. What started as a regular race turned into a relay race! I grabbed up a bunch of closely related Bugzilla reports. A mile of road ahead has already been charted, perhaps dated, but still quite useful! Reports labeled as new, but 5 years old. Their only problem is, they ended abruptly..
