Just do it.

Remember my last post about holding back and not being able to meet that girl? Welp I got over it. I met her! I’m sure it was very random, but I did it anyway. I almost failed, and when I knew I was going to miss the window of oppertunity, I didn’t care anymore and pushed myself in front of her.

Hey, that wasn’t so bad, in fact she seemed quite happy to meet someone new. Cool! I should have been able to do this back in high school.. I’m so late now. Anyway, I still have to work on it, I still have to keep pushing myself.

Ignore the intimidation and just do it!… now what happens next? Who knows. I hope I can make a new friend. Remember this, no adventure starts until you put yourself into it!

Anyway on the bus to school, I’m late as usual. It’s been happening more often now and I’ve been seeing this girl more often on the same bus too. She’s not late for any class of course. How bad of me.

The whole ride to school I was thinking it through. Man, I take so long. Recalling the entry I made.. I HAVE to talk to her this time. I’ve openned doors for her enough times and got enough thanks to deserve saying something more! No wait, I wasn’t thinking that then. But I imagaining myself successfully talking to her, and I took as many paths in my imagination as I could. The real conversation we had turned out a little different of course haha. Here’s how it turned out for your curious people :) I’ll try to reproduce it anyway…

I have to be pretty crazy to meet a girl out of nowhere. With no relation to her, except that we go to the same college, but I did it! I was thinking the whole time on the bus ride that I would talk to her right after exiting the YorkU arts building. There was so much pressure on myself!! We must pass through this one York building to get to get to our building, and now we were outside. Outside, and I was still fighting myself to go and talk to that girl! It’s a huge bloody war in my mind. Finally I realized we were half way to entering our campus building, I got no time to win the war! Here goes!

Peter: Hey! Can I ask you something?
Girl: *Stunned* s-Sure!
Peter: Um, what program are you in? Arts?
Girl: I’m taking science!
Peter: Oh cool, what year?
Girl: Second year.
Peter: Ah neat, I’m in computers.. hey, my name is Peter!
Girl: My name is Jennifer!
Peter: Jennifer? D:
Jen: Yup!
Peter: I’ve seen you around quite often-
Jen: Oh really? Yeah I’ve seen you too, I thought about…*under her breath*
Peter: -I fiqured someone like you would be in an arts program!
Jen: *I think this caught her by surprise too*
Peter: *opens door….and another* Do you have class right now?
Jen: Not yet, class in about an hour.
Peter: Oh ok, I’m late for class (-but at least I get to see you! WAH, good thing that didn’t come out)
Jen: Oh haha…. so you’re studying computer science?
Peter: Yeah, and.. a bit of web design here and there.
Jen: Oh design *she said something I couldn’t hear, about liking web design also?*
Peter: I have to go up here now *points at stairs in the distance*
Jen: Oh ok, nice to meet you, see you!
Peter: See you! *walk away* (Phew……w000t…success!)
